Butterfly Works: Art Dolls

I've always loved dolls and as a child would make very primitive clothes for them...As an adult, I was challenged to see if I could make a doll with a scuplted face that I would be satisfied with and before I knew it I was involved with making healing art dolls......I gave my first one to a friend of mine with breast cancer.....it seemed to give her comfort and I was encouraged to give ones to other friends who were dealing with cancer or a loss.....I prayed over the dolls, similar to the prayer shawl ministry, and named them and then they went to their new home to bring comfort to a hurting friend.......
Below are pictures of some of them but many left without a picture being taken....but they remain in my head.....Anyone who makes dolls know they have a mind of their own and will tell you very quickly what they want and how they want to be dressed.....
