My New Journal Book

I have been struggling for months now on how to get my projects together and I have finally figured out a way that will pull all my stuff together whether it's journaling, art journaling, drawing faces, knitting, or spinning, scrapbooking, whatever I want to record.....

I collected all the different kinds of paper that I work on; watercolor, photograph,  scrapbooking (printed and plain colors), plain white for writing,  sketching, cream vellum, and I put them all together (it's 12 x 12).....created a front cover and a back cover and held them together with rings....that way I can add more or remove one if I want to work on it......I am so pleased with the result....now I can have all my projects together in one place.......I sectioned it off so there's a section for the written journal, art journaling, scrapbooking, my knitting and spinning projects........which will probably include dolls or weaving that I get around to doing.....

This is the front cover.......I covered a piece of 12x12 cardboard with a piece of hand dyed fabric
then I added tape and cutouts, flowers, and words.....

This is the inside of the cover......paer and tape

And this is the first entry page

Have a Grerat Day
Hugs and blessings,
Nancy

  1. Perfection! I did the same thing when I first started, large size random papers with rings to hold it all together, worked great, still does. (since then I've learned how to bind my own books so that's fun too)
Love the cover, you did a great job and it so reflects you. That inside page just makes me want to keep turning the pages to see all the other treasures :-)

  6. Nancy you will love working in this, and having it all together. It will be fun to just sit and look through it all too. I continue to doodle on my pages. And when inspiration hits you have a place to write it down, and be able to find it later.

It will be fun to watch it grow too.

    Hugs!

I have enjoyed looking through your blog. I was very interested in the wrap cardigan and managed to find it on the Ravelry website. Now I just need to buy some wool.... :-)
