Windows

We are adding on to our den in the mountains, so my sweet DH and I went window shopping today.
Never knew it could be so hard to find the right windows that look the way you envision them....Anyway, I got to thinking about windows and here are a few quotes I found...
A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.
Denis Waitley
Art is the window to a man's soul, without it, he would never be able to see beyond his immediate
world nor could the world see the man within.  Claudia Johnson
And one we have all heard...."Eyes are the windows to the soul"........
I love the art quote and it reminds me that one's art in whatever form that may take is very important to the artist to reveal things inside that otherwise would never be known......
What is your art saying to you?

Hugs and blessings,
Nancy

  1. My art to me says FREEDOM! I'm married to a "beige" husband so things are toned down at home. I make up for it in my artwork.

I was watching a gardening show the other day and the host asked a particular gardener if he was afraid of his garden becoming too tacky (ornamentally). He replied, "I'm not afraid to cross over to the tacky side because it's so much better than being boring.

    I share a similar philosophy.

    Terri

  4. So glad to meet you Nancy. I felt connected with you from Darla's blog comment. I love butterflies. My trademark for my reproduced ceramics will be "borboletas" which means butterflies in Portuguese. I make ceramic butterfiles since 1996. They have changed a lot since. I am a christian, too and I am enjoying being a grandma by now...a young grandma, or course. You are more than welcome to visit my blog http://elizabethglz.com/blog
    Keep Enjoying the Ride!!

  5. Hi Nancy, thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. You have a lovely blog here with some great artworks and images. I love those quilty barns. We don't have anything like that over here in the UK. Cats are wonderful aren't they? I love drawing them in their various poses. We only have one of our own now but I wish we had more. Have a great week.
