Spinning

I thought I would share my new spinning wheel with you and some yarn I recently spun......
The spinning wheel is a Sonta by Kromski and it is a travel wheel...folds up very nicely in it's
own bag.....I have a Jerry Jensen that I keep in the mountains and an Ashford Traveller I
keep in Winston Salem....This wheel will be nice to keep in the car as we are on the road
so much of the time.....

Fiber before it's spun
Yarn that has been spun

My new Kromski Sonta, Traveling Wheel

Once I have plied the yarn, I will show you the finished product..still have more spinning to do first...

Hugs and Blessings,
Butterfly

  1. your spinning wheel is beautiful!! my mother-in-law used to spin her own yarn, and then create gorgeous weavings on a huge loom that was in her craft room. it's one of the few things that i've never tried before, but it's definitely on my "list" that i'd love to do!! :))

  2. Just look at those colours! They would look wonderful in a painting :-) I'm so excited for you in regards to your explorations in art journaling. Story through symbolism, what a wonderful discovery. It's one of the things I love about God, no matter the age or stage in the journey, he keeps bringing us fresh understanding of ourselves and him at work within us. Looking forward to seeing your story play out on paper :-)

  3. I've never known anyone who spun. The yarn is beautiful even before it was spun! Very cool!

  6. Isn't it wonderful the way God will make his connections among us. Of course you can send what I wrote on my blog to your son, I pray God will help him as he is my daughter.
