Journal Entry

Transformation seems to be on my  mind these days.  I guess it's because I sense that God is hard at work on me......The retreat was truly a mountain top experience but came down again to see some issues in my life that God wants changed........He wants me to keep my eyes on him and to be alert to those triger points in my life that causes me to act out of the flesh instead of the spirit.......Therefore, my journal entry today was Transformation, it's scary and exciting and comes in stages.....Change is scary even when we know God is behind it but it is also exciting because anything God does in our life leads to blessings and a closer glimpse of Him and my experience has been it comes in stages.  God knows I can't handle everything changed at once so with His loving hands He molds and instructs me and lovingly convicts me of the changes that need to me made.  My faces, in some way, always seem to reflect what I am working on.....

I want to thank each of you for your encouragment.  I am gaining more freedom and growing in my art work everyday because of you....I hope you have a wonderful weekend.....

Hugs and blesssings,
Nancy

  5. Isn't it just wonderful how God speaks to us in such gentle ways when we need to hear Him the most ~ when we are ready to listen to what He wants to teach us. I too am not very good with change, but God has taught me and continues to teach me where I need to grow and let go. Art Journaling is such a great way to grow and heal too! Your lady is lovely!

  6. Hey girl, we all operate out of our flesh at times. It is a work in progress for us all. Praise God He loves us enough to show us the evil things in our hearts so He can begin the work of transformation. I am so glad you are listening to Him and allowing Him to transform those areas in your heart He needs to. That shows growth and maturity. I am so proud of you. love, Sandra

  10. Hi Nancy,
The digital stamps are great. Ok see if this works. In photoshop open a new black canvas. The open an image file that you want to make a stamp of. Then go to edit>define brush preset--then a window will open showing you the brush, then click ok---then it should be in your brushes ready for you to use. I hope this works!

  11. DEAR NANCY,
I FOUND YOU THROUGH MARY'S BLOG, A SPLENDID ADVENTURE, BUT I KNOW THE HOLY SPIRIT DREW ME HERE.
I AM A CHRISTIAN...I AM MARRIED TO MY HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART AND WE ARE BLESSED WITH TWO CHILDREN. OUR ONLY DAUGHTER AMY, GRADUATED TO HEAVEN ON OCT. 23, 2009.
OUR ONLY SON IS 27 YEARS OLD AND MARRIED FOR 3 YEARS. NO GRANDCHILDREN...THEY LOVE CHILDREN BUT WON'T EVEN DISCUSS IT FOR ANOTHER 5 YEARS.
THE DAY OF AMY'S GOING HOME YOU COULD NOT HAVE FOUND A BUTTERFLY IN OUR TOWN...EVERY ARRANGEMENT HAD BUTTERFLIES...HER CASKET WAS WHITE INSIDE AND OUT EXCEPT FOR 3 PINK BUTTERFLIES. MY AMY LOVED BUTTERFLIES...SHE WAS SO BRAVE, LOOKING DEATH IN THE FACE, NEVER SHEDDING A TEAR, ONLY WRITING TO ME IT WOULD BE OKAY...SHE HAD A TRACH AND WAS NOT ABLE TO SPEAK...THE PICTURE YOU DREW LOOKS VERY CLOSE TO MY DAUGHTER...ONLY WHEN SHE WALKED INTO THE ARMS OF JESUS SHE WEIGHED 47 POUNDS AT THE AGE OF 33 YEARS OLD BUT SHE WAS TRANSFORMED IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE. I DON'T KNOW WHY JUST YET BUT I WAS DRAWN HERE TO VISIT YOU.
YOUR BLOG AND ARTWORK IS AWESOME.
I HAVE 2 BLOGS...THERE'S AN ANGEL ON MY FRONT PORCH IS ALL ABOUT AMY'S JOURNEY AND IS GRAPHIC AT TIMES.......SIMPLY DEBBIE I STARTED IN JANUARY AND IT IS MY JOURNEY ALONE WITH MY DAUGHTER WATCHING ME FROM HEAVEN...I SURE MISS HER. SHE WAS A GREAT ARTIST. A TRUE ARTIST THAT DREW FROM WITHIN HER SPIRIT.
I HAVE ALREADY LEARNED A FEW THINGS READING YOUR BLOG AND I LOVE THE HEADER OF IT.
IT IS SO NICE TO MEET YOU. I LIVE IN OKLAHOMA.
    HUGS
    SIMPLY DEBBIE
