A Sweet Church in the Mountains

This is the sweetest little chuch in the mountains of North Carolina. It was built in the 1800's and has a wonderful view of the valley below.  At the present, it is used only in the summer but welcomes all visitors to come and worship.
The inside is simple with wooden benches and heart pine floors but the mahoney altar sits in an alcove surrounded by windows and when the sunshine streams in and you hear the music play, you wonder if this is
what heaven is going to be like....It takes your breathe away just thinking about the Almighty God.....

  2. What a sweet church, here in germany we don´t have such nice churches at all, only brick-buildings. They are all very plain and simple. Except here in the mountains where I live, there are some nice little chapels to discover, the older the more beautiful, but never that lovely like above. I guess that´s also cause of unsettled weather here in Bavaria. Winters are quite hard sometimes and a wooden chapel wouldn´t make much sense.
Thanks for sharing, Nancy, such a beautiful inviting view!
